Sales in the Petoskey Real Estate Market slowed considerably in 2005. Sales volume measured by residential units sold sank to 260 units in 2005 from 326 units in 2004, a decline of over 20%. Interestingly, only 31.82% of the number of homes listed in 2005 sold, a huge drop from 2004, when 57.8% of the number of homes listed sold.
The number of residential units listed in 2005 shot up almost 45%, from 564 in 2004 to 817 in 2005.

An owner can only claim a principle residence exemption if, as stated in the affidavit, the property being claimed is actually one's principal residence, which is described as "the place you intend to return whenever you go away.
..which you do not occupy as your principal residence may not be claimed."

In Michigan, state law requires written disclosure of all types of agency relationships available to a potential buyer or seller, and the duties that each agency relationship creates, before the disclosure by the potential buyer or seller to the licensee of any confidential information specific to that potential buyer or seller.

MDOT Approves Funding for Harbor Springs Bike Path

The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) recently approved funding for the completion of the Little Traverse Wheelway from its current dead-end at the intersection of M-119 and Pleasantview Road into the City of Harbor Springs. MDOT approved a total of $958,473 for the project, which is expected to be completed in 2008.

Migration Patterns in U.S. Show Move to South, West

Between 2000 and 2004, the South saw a net migration of 1.4 million, mostly in the South Atlantic states of Delaware, Maryland, the District of Columbia, Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia and Florida. The Northeast, and in particular the Mid-Atlantic states of New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania, saw a net loss of nearly 1 million between 2000 and 2004.

Zillow claims to have found data and information on 60 million homes around the country, with enough data and information to enable its statisticians and engineers to algorithmically make a Zestimate on 40 million of those homes, with a reported margin of error of 7.2%. Zillow will undoubtedly have an awesome commodity on their hands once their nationwide property information database has been compiled.

Downtown board approves Daytona condo plans

Now that the city's downtown riverfront area has been discovered, it took the board two hours Tuesday to approve three major projects, including a seven-story loft, an eight-story condo-townhouse mix and a marina project with two 26-story towers. Before building the $90 million project that includes a marina, the Miami-based developers need approval from the Planning Board and City Commission to rezone the property from industrial to multifamily.
